Elizabeth “Liz” Tange is Director of Bands and Elementary Music Specialist at Lake of the Woods School in Baudette, Minnesota. Mrs. Tange began working for the district in August of 2006. She grew up in Wyndmere, North Dakota and has played piano since she was in first grade, and clarinet since fifth grade.
Mrs. Tange graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, and is currently working on her Masters degree in Music Education from the American Band College through Central Washington University. Mrs. Tange is also the founder of the Community Band, performing throughout the summer at local events. She frequently plays piano and clarinet at church and in local pit orchestras.
Mrs. Tange is an active member of the Minnesota Band Directors Association (MBDA), the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
